I’ll spare you the sappy details about how this pregnancy has brought Cameron and I closer as a couple, but in all honesty – it really has. We find ourselves making more time for each other, eating up all those romantic gestures and thoroughly enjoying each adventure we find ourselves on. This may be for a number of reasons but for some reason two really stand out. One, most likely is the sappy side of pregnancy where we actually feel that this unborn child of both him and I is a connection unlike any other – and two, we realize our time alone together will be greatly hindered once our little girl arrives. So, we’ve been making the best of things lately and I have to say that not a day goes by where I’m not thankful I married my best friend.
All sappiness aside, we spent our quiet Friday evening in. Cameron picked up some crab legs and shrimp, I threw together some herbed rice and we sat on the couch and watched a movie. No getting ready, no reservations – in fact, no recipes either. It was just us, unhinged, completely relaxed and genuinely enjoying each other’s company.
While I’m greatly looking forward to the arrival of our little one, I know that our time as a family of two is limited so you’ll most likely have to bare with me over the remaining three months as I can assume the sappiness will only continue. My apologies.
